Transport Guide
Istanbul Airport lies about forty kilometres from the hotel, roughly forty five minutes to an hour by car. The hotel arranges paid transfers. Havaist airport buses stop near Taksim, from where the funicular and tram connect to Karaköy.
Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the Asian side is around fifty kilometres away. The Marmaray rail tunnel and ferries can complement road transfers.
The T1 tram stops at Tophane and Karaköy, connecting directly with Eminönü, Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazaar area. Trams run frequently from early morning to late evening.
Ferries from Karaköy pier cross to Kadıköy and Üsküdar on the Asian side in about twenty minutes, offering beautiful views of the Bosphorus and the old city skyline.
The Tünel funicular from Karaköy climbs to the beginning of Istiklal Avenue in a couple of minutes. The Şişhane metro station, about ten minutes on foot, connects with Taksim and the business districts.
An Istanbulkart works on trams, ferries, metro, funicular and buses. Contactless cards are increasingly accepted at gates as well.
Taxis are available, but traffic in Karaköy is heavy. Ride hailing apps or ferries often provide faster connections.
